An understanding of the impact of racism is vital for all educators, leaders, and community members. A Response to Racism: Creating a Trauma-Informed Action Plan, developed by a team of clinical experts from the Houston-area, will educate, challenge, and create space for the development of a personal, professional, and community response to racism. This 96-minute video will educate, challenge, and inspire you to ACTION!
We owe it to future generations to invest in learning and responding to the needs of those who have experienced the trauma of racism. Watch the course, reflect, and make your ACTION plan. We are better together!

Heather Lambert is the founder and director of Clearhope Counseling Center, NP; Clearhope Counseling & Wellness Center, PC; and Clearhope Training, NP. Heather has 17 years of experience as an educator. She is a certified teacher and school counselor. She has worked as a teacher, school counselor, Lead Counselor and administrator, and 504 coordinator. She continues to lead traininings for school districts and mental health professionals. Some of her clients include: Brazosport ISD, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, Dickinson ISD, Fort Bend ISD, Katy ISD, Pasadena ISD, Pearland ISD, Spring Branch ISD, Rice University WIC Navigators, Stephen F. Austin Community Health Network, The National Association for Relationship and Marriage Education (NARME) and Cigna EAP's.

Heather is a sought-after trainer, speaker, and consultant and has emerged as a leader in the Greater-Houston area. In May 2019, Heather Lambert was recognized in the Houston Business Journal for her Entrepreneurial Success by SCORE Houston.

In response to the many requests to "pick her brain", Heather launched HeatherLambert.org to offer online training, consultation, and mentorship to those beginning in private practice and other business ventures. Heather's latest venture, counselor101.com launched in January 2021 to empower, educate and equip therapists and school counselors with the important work of helping. We are a supportive community with a passion to help overcome imposter syndrome, develop expertise, and to connect with high-level leaders who truly care.

Ana Valenzuela, LPC LCDC is the Executive Director of Programs at Clearhope Counseling & Wellness Center. Ana’s experience includes working with clients of various ages and issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, parenting, sexual abuse, domestic violence, trauma, school issues, anger issues, and family issues. Ana also specializes in working with families in the reunification process for separation due to various life circumstances.She has experience working with adults, young children, teens, youths, and juveniles in crisis. Ana is an experienced team leader, program developer, and community mental health advocate. Ana is bilingual English/Spanish.

Frances Germany, LPC LCDC is the Director of Services for Fort Bend ISD and the Sugar Land offices of Clearhope Counseling & Wellness Center. Frances is a Licensed/Ordained Minister, a Board-Certified Christian Counselor & Board Certified Christian Clinical Counselor. She has over 20 years of experience in education, counseling, and administration. She has worked with mental health and substance abuse (including co-occurring disorders/dual diagnosis), play and recreation therapy, grief therapy, marriage and family therapy (children, adolescents, and adults), school counseling, & home and community-based counseling. Frances is experienced in forming, maintaining, and strengthening on-campus counseling programs to help ensure equitable access to high-quality mental healthcare is available for all students.
